What Is AFSOD : The Armed Forces Special Operations Division (AFSOD) is a tri-administration order of the Indian Armed Forces. The division is entrusted to do exceptional tasks or special operations. The AFSOD draws staff from each of the three exceptional warfare wings of the Armed Forces. Indian Army Major General A. K. Dhingra, who is a war veteran from the Para SF, was designated in May 2019 as the incharge of AFSOD. The division is relied upon to be changed over into a full estimated tri-administration order in future. The division closed its first exercise, code named ‘Smelling Field’,
