According to an Indian Railways official under “Mission Jeewan Raksha”, RPF personnel have saved 1650 lives from the wheels of moving trains at railway stations in the last four years. In addition, RPF personnel returned 1,23,777 goods with a value of Rs 23 crore to the rightful owners. Out of this, goods worth Rs 4.23 crore were returned by CR and WR RPF personnel in 1973.
