First indigenous flying trainer HANSA-NG completes sea level trials
India’s first indigenous flying trainer ‘HANSA-NG’ designed and developed by CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, has successfully completed the sea-level trials at Puducherry from February 19 to March 5. The aircraft was flown to Puducherry covering a distance of 140 nautical miles in 1.5 hours at a cruising speed of 155 km/hr on February 19, NAL said in a release on Saturday. The objective of these trials were to evaluate handling qualities, climb/cruise performance, balked landing, structural performance including positive and negative G, power plant and other systems performance at sea level, it said. Trainer aircraft crashes in Telangana’s Nalgonda, Trainee Pilot Dies
Atrainer aircraft crashed in Telangana’s Nalgonda on Saturday. The trainee pilot, identified as 28-year-old G Mahima from Tamil Nadu, died in the crash. The aircraft – a Flytech Aviation Cessna 152 – had taken off from Macherla in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. It is believed that it hit an electric pole before crashing to the ground. It was flying across the Andhra Pradesh-Telangana border and crashed in an agricultural field in Tungaturthi village of Nalgonda district in Telangana. Wing Commander Harshit Sinha cremated in Lucknow with full military honours
The last rites of Wing Commander Harshit Sinha, who died after a MiG-21 fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer, was performed in Lucknow on Sunday.
