India’s largest hockey stadium to be built in Odisha, to host 2023 World Cup

On December 24, 2020, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced the construction of India’s largest hockey stadium at Rourkela in Odisha. The stadium will host the 2023 Men’s Hockey World Cup matches. 20,000 spectators will be able to watch the match in this stadium. This will help in making the game more popular and its condition in the stadium area. The facilities within the stadium will be set to be standard built in the rest of the world’s best stadiums.
