The cases of Coronavirus infection are increasing rapidly due to Omicron variant in the country. New Covid Variant Named “Deltacron”
According to Leonodios Kostrikis, Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of Cyprus, a strain of Kovid-19 combining Delta and Omicron was found in Cyprus. The discovery has been named “deltacron” because of the identification of an omicron-like genetic symbol within the delta genome. The team has identified 25 such cases.
