Indian Army Jawans hold ground on China border for country even in minus 12 degree temperature
Indian Army Jawans are patrolling every 12 to 15 km along the China border with logistical accessories, keeping a close watch on every activity of China. The jawans are quenching their thirst by melting snow in the high Himalayan regions amid heavy snowfall. For the first time after the border dispute with China, ITBP personnel are deployed at altitudes ranging from 10 thousand feet to 16 thousand 500 feet. Warm clothes, logistic materials are being transported by helicopter to the jawans at these posts. In the high Himalayan regions, it is also a challenge to deliver goods to the soldiers
DRDO create special device to protect soldiers from cold weather
The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has developed several products for 50,000 troops deployed to combat China in eastern Ladakh. These include snow-heating heating equipment and many tools to help soldiers fight enemies by melting ice in extremely low temperatures. The Himak Tapa Space Heating Device (Bukhari) has been developed for the Indian Army deployed in eastern Ladakh, Siachen and high altitude areas and orders for more than Rs 420 crore have been placed for these devices.
