Indian Navy tests BrahMos supersonic cruise missile
Indian Navy’s warship INS Visakhapatnam carried out the test-firing of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile off the western seaboard today. The warship has now reached Visakhapatnam to take part in President’s Fleet Review on February 21, informed Defence sources. The missile was tested from INS Visakhapatnam which is the latest warship of the Indian Navy inducted recently. India to export BrahMos missile to Philippines
India and the Philippines are expected to sign a $374.9 million deal in the last week of January 2022 for the supply of ‘Brahmos Shore-based Supersonic Cruise Missile System’. The deal will be signed as part of the Philippines’ plan to bolster its defense amid a regional conflict with China. The deal will cover an unspecified number of missiles and launchers, payment schedules, spare parts and delivery and training programs. India Tests BrahMos Missile with Sukhoi Aircraft
On 30 October 2020, the Indian Air Force successfully tested the fighter-capable version of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile. It was fired from a Sukhoi MKI-30 aircraft into the Bay of Bengal.
