India has reportedly invited British Prime Minister Boris Johnson as the chief guest on Republic Day 2021. Last week, the Prime Minister of Britain was given this invitation during a phone call from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Modi had a conversation with Boris Johnson on 27 November via a phone call to discuss the Covid-19 pandemic, climate change and other issues. During this phone call, the two leaders reiterated their shared commitment to work towards a long jump in India-UK partnership, post-Covid, post-Brexit era.
