Soldier’s children older than 25 years will now get treatment facility

In one case, the Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) has ordered the Army to treat the soldier’s 25-year-old son. According to the rules, the age limit is 25 years and 18 years for the daughter to provide treatment to the soldier’s son. The case is related to retired havildar Awadhesh Kumar, resident of Rae Bareli. His 29-year-old son Arvind’s two kidneys have failed. The Army refused to treat him in April last year, stating that the disease is not on the list of ‘Disabled Persons Act-2016’. The son’s age is also more than 25 years.
