ARMY PROJECTS AN INNOVATIVE 3-YEAR “ TOUR OF DUTY” TOD FOR CIVILIANS. AN  INTRODUCTION  ABOUT ToD : The Indian Army has come up with a proposal to introduce a three-year stint in the force for youngsters. This proposal is a highly innovative one and will benefit not only the individual, but also the army and society at large. It will be a voluntary engagement in which Army plans to attract the best talent into force and bring the civil society closer to the force by giving them opportunity to experience military life . The army has proposed to recruit 100
