Gen. Manoj Mukund Naravane – the New Chief of Army staff

Gen Manoj Mukund Naravane has taken over the charge as new Army chief today i.e. on Tuesday, 31st December 2019. Before taking charge as chief of Army Staff he was honoured as the vice-chief of the Army in September. He was heading the Eastern command of the Army, and was responsible for the security of India-China border of about 4000 kms. Gen Manoj Mukund Naravane took over the latter chief of Army i.e. General Bipin Rowat who has started his oath to be the COAS on 31st December 2016 and has completed his terms of service on 31st December 2019.
