Military Nursing services (MNS) is an examination conducted by Indian Army to recruit nursing officers for their various Military Hospitals and command hospitals. The examination is conducted in three phases i.e. Written Examination, Personal Interview and Medical examination. Those who qualify all the three phases will be sent to various medical colleges for training of 4 years BSc course. The first phase i.e. the Written Examination is the first and the most important milestone to cross for qualifying MNS examination. Military Nursing Service – Salary Structure
Nurses in Indian Army are inducted as officers and are called as Nursing Officers under Military Nursing Services. After their successful training, a nursing cadet gets the rank of lieutenant after training. So, the salary is the same as that of an officer in the Armed Forces. There are some changes related to their allowances, but the grade pay and the basic pay are the same. Notification for MNS i.e. Military Nursing services or AFMC Nursing has been released on 9th November 2019 for the recruitment of females as commissioned officers. The exam is conducted by the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune. Successful candidates will be able to get admission into 4 years B.Sc. Nursing course. It is a national level examination conducted only for female candidates. The selection is done on the basis of written examination and Interview. The Indian Military Nursing Services, is an exam conducted by Directorate General of Medical Services (Indian Army).
