Central Government has approved the New India Literacy Program for 2022-2027
The Union Government approved a new scheme New India Literacy Program for the period from financial year 2022 to 2027 to cover all aspects of adult education in order to align with the National Education Policy 2020 and budget announcement 2021-22. The National Policy on Education 2020 has recommended adult education and lifelong learning. The Union Budget 2021-22, was announced to enable increased access to resources. The objective of the scheme is not only to provide basic literacy and numeracy but also to incorporate other components which are essential for the citizen of 21st century. Kuwait army allows women in combat roles but with this condition
Kuwaiti women are angry after the military, having allowed female soldiers in combat roles, decided they need the permission of a male guardian and banned them from carrying weapons. Activists have decried the policy as “one step forward, two steps back” after the defence ministry also decided that women in the armed forces, unlike civilians, must wear head coverings. ITBP Jawans Do Training at minus 25 degree Celsius
Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel have continued their training even in extremely cold conditions at minus 25 degrees Celsius at the high altitude of the Uttarakhand border. Even in the freezing cold, the jawans have not stopped practising regularly and they are busy training themselves. It can be seen in the video that ITBP personnel are taking training in cold temperatures amid snow. In the video, the jawans are shown holding special weapons and undergoing physical exercises. Canada declares national emergency
On February 14, 2022, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau declared a national emergency to end truckers’ protests against COVID health regulations. After police arrested 11 people with weapons who were blocking the border with the United States, a state of emergency was declared. This is only the second time in Canadian history that such powers have been used in peacetime. The call to power was made because hundreds of trucks still blocked the streets of Ottawa. Pulwama Attack Anniversary : Indian Army chief Gen MM Naravane pays homage to the martyrs
On the anniversary of the Pulwama terror attack, India’s Chief of Army Staff General MM Naravane today paid homage to the martyrs. 40 CRPF personnel were killed on February 14, 2019 when a Jaish-e-Mohammed ultra rammed an explosives-laden car into their vehicle.
