Last-Minute Tips to Crack Airforce Group X & Y Paper

Last-minute preparation is the best possible way to revise all that labour which the candidate has done to clear the Airforce exam of X & Y Group.  Since the notification is out, this exam is the entry to fullfill a candidate’s dream of getting into Indian Airforce.

Group ‘X’ exam will consists of English, Physics and Maths of 10+2 level and the time limit is 60 minutes, and so Group ‘Y’ will consist of English, Reasoning and General awareness with time duration of 45 minutes.

• Note down important words and their meanings
• Read General Knowledge on a daily basis
• Learn Synonyms, Antonyms.
• Try solving Last Year Papers
• Attempting Mock Test & Quizzes
• Books like Wren & Martin would surely be of great help.

Physics: (for ‘X’ Group Only)

• Topics like Thermodynamics, Semiconductors, Electricity, Electrostatics are frequently asked
• NCERT textbook of 11^th & 12^th standard is of great help in cracking this section.

Maths : (for Group ‘X’ Only)

• Focus mainly on Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry, Differentiation, Integration, Probability, Permutation & Combination and Differential Equation.
• Focus on solving speed.
• RS Agarwal is one of the most important books for preparation
• Practice as many questions as you can
• Try solving last year examination papers for better idea.
• Be aware of negative marking, concept should be clear in this subject.

Reasoning & General Awareness (Group ‘Y’)

• Refer to Lucent for considerable knowledge.
• Refer to Verbal & non-verbal Reasoning by RS Aggarwal

Once the written is cleared, the last attempt to get entry is Physical test.

Physical Test

• Daily practising running will boost the confidence 1.6 km in 6min 30 sec is a challenge.
