Can I Join NDA with Spectacles ?

Often Students Wearing Spectacles asks me Whether They Can Join NDA with Spectacles on. In this Blog we will discuss about the Allowance of Spectacles in NDA.

When a Person’s Eye Sight is Normal it is said his /her eye sight is 6/6 which is normal Eye Sight. However If a Person is Wearing Spectacles he/she too can join NDA but with Following Eye Powers:-

Eyesight Required to Join NDA

1.Good Eye can be 6/6 and Worse Eye can be 6/9

2.Myopia or Short Sightedness can be -2.5 Diopter

3.Hypermetropia Or Far Sightedness can be+3.0 Diopter

4.Colour Blindness Should not be there

5.Colour Vision should be Normal as Signals and Indicators can be identified

NOTE-LASIK SURGERY IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AT ALL

Thus if You are Wearing Spectacles-You too can Join NDA however if you wish to Become a Pilot in Indian Air Force-Spectacles are Not Allowed.
