The 1971 war between India and Pakistan has completed 50 years. In memory of this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged off the victory torch in different directions from the National War Memorial in New Delhi on 16 December. This Vijay Jyoti reached Jamshedpur on Sunday, 7 November, which was given a grand welcome.
The members of the All India Ex-Servicemen Service Council were standing with flowers and garlands at Dimna Chowk, Mango, the gateway of Jamshedpur, from 12 noon. As soon as Vijay Jyoti arrived, Bharat Mata ki Jai… drowned in gaiety with the proclamation. After this, when the Vijay Jyoti vehicle passed through Dimna Road in Mango, people stood on both sides of the road and showered flowers.

At Khudiram Bose Chowk in Mango, the workers of BJP, Mango Mandal gave a rousing welcome to the torch. Under the leadership of Sushil Singh of Ex-Sainik Seva Parishad, the torch, which had come to the city from Baleshwar (Odisha), was brought to the army camp. Utsav was celebrated at Army Camp from 5.30 pm.
The festival will be celebrated by keeping this Vijay Jyoti from 7 to 10 November at the Army Camp, Sonari. In this episode, a Walk-a-thon will be organized on Monday, November 8, which will start from Army Camp at 7.30 am. Under this, army personnel will run, in which ex-servicemen will also be involved. On November 9, Vijay Jyoti will be toured in Jamshedpur. On this day, there will be a quiz and painting competition on the 1971 war in schools. On November 10, a rally will be taken out by the ex-servicemen, while on November 11, Vijay Jyoti will be sent from Sonari Army Camp to Ranchi via Domuhani bridge. It is to be known that Bangladesh emerged only after this war.
