In Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama, the security forces have got great success and three terrorists have been killed in the encounter. The Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police are jointly running a joint operation and the search operation is still going on in the area. Security forces have recovered incriminating material apart from arms and ammunition from the terrorists.
The encounter between security forces and terrorists in South Kashmir’s Pulwama started late on Tuesday (July 13) and there is still a possibility of some terrorists hiding in the area. On Tuesday, after getting information about the hiding of terrorists near the district hospital, the security forces surrounded the entire area and started the search operation. After this the terrorists started firing and then the security forces also retaliated.

Jammu-Kashmir Police IG Vijay Kumar said that among the terrorists killed in the encounter, Lashkar commander Ejaz alias Abu Huraira, a resident of Pakistan, is also included. Apart from this, the security forces also killed two local terrorists, whose identity is not yet known.
Earlier on July 8, two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama. On the same day, two terrorists were also killed in an encounter in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The slain terrorists were identified as Kifayat Ramzan Sofi of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba and Inayat Ahmed Dar of Al Badr.
