Now students in schools will also be able to get acquainted with the heroic saga of Kargil War hero Paramvir Chakra martyr Captain Vikram Batra. Preparations are being made to include the stories of his bravery during the Kargil war in the school syllabus as well.
DAV College Sector-10 and DAV Management Committee will send a proposal to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) to include Captain Batra’s valor saga in the school-college syllabus. This decision was taken in the meeting of DAV Management Committee held on Friday. DAV Management Committee Chairman Padmashree Poonam Suri was on a visit to the educational institutions in the city. In the meeting, a proposal to include the biography of Captain Vikram Batra in the syllabus was put forward by the Principal Dr. Pawan Sharma.
Martyr Captain Vikram Batra had attained Veergati on 7 July 1999 while displaying valor and valor in the Kargil War of 1999. Captain Vikram Batra was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his valor and valor. Captain Vikram Batra was originally from Palampur in district Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.

DAV College Principal Dr. Pawan Sharma said that Captain Vikram Batra is the hero of the country but he was also the son of the college. After studying for three years in college, he did NCC from this college. It is important for every child to know about him, as he is a role model for the youth along with fulfilling his own dream at a very young age.
