BrahMos missile deal worth USD 374 million inked with Philippines
A deal worth USD 374 million has been inked between the BrahMos Aerospace Pvt Ltd and the Phillipines. The deal is for the shore based anti-ship variant supersonic cruise missiles. This is the first time India has a deal for exporting a missile which has been made in India under an Indo-Russian Joint Venture. The negotiations of exporting BrahMos Missile to one of the Asean countries had been going on for a while. The negotiations with Vietnam which started back in 2016, are also in an advanced stage. That could be another country in the region to import BrahMos missiles
5Terrorists killed in overnight encounters in Jammu and Kashmir
5 Terrorists killed : Five terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfits, including a self-styled commander, were killed in two separate overnight encounters with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Sunday. The gunfights, which broke out on Saturday night, took place in Pulwama and Budgam districts of the Kashmir valley. While four terrorists were killed in the encounter in Naira area of Pulwama, in south Kashmir, one ultra was killed in Chrar-i-Sharief area of the central Kashmir’s Budgam district, a police official said. He said the four terrorists killed in Pulwama gunfight belonged to JeM.

Jammu: Four jawans injured as grenade explodes near border
Four jawans, including a constable, were injured when a grenade exploded near the border in Nowshera Sector Kek Kalsia of Rajouri. In view of the critical condition of one of the injured, he has been referred to the Command Hospital, Udhampur, while the other three were taken to 150 Army Generals for treatment.
