NEW DELHI: Reports published in a leading Chinese daily suggests that one of their legislator Hou Yun, who also serves as a commander with China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Tibet military command has proposed deployment of fixed-wing drones, such as the GJ-1 and GJ-2 armed reconnaissance drones along the India border for heightened security. NEW DELHI: Indian Air Force’s Suryakirans, Sarang, and Light Combat Aircraft Tejas are all set to add spice to the 70th-anniversary celebration of Sri Lankan Air Force (SLAF), which is scheduled to kick off on March 2 and culminate on March 5. In order to avoid terrorist attacks like Pulwama, the central government has decided to provide the facility of MI-17 helicopter on leave to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel deployed in Kashmir. To avoid IED blasts, the personnel going on leave from Kashmir will be released from MI-17 to the nearest destination. Although it is not clear how far this facility will be available, but officials claim that the facility will probably be extended to Jammu or Srinagar Airport.
