Galwan Hero Martyr Colonel Santosh Babu Awarded Maha Vir Chakra
Colonel Santosh Babu, who made the supreme sacrifice during the skirmish with Chinese soldiers in the snowy Galwan Valley of Eastern Ladakh, will be awarded the Maha Vir Chakra. President Ram Nath Kovind will give this honor posthumously to Colonel Santosh Babu today, for which his family members have been invited. On the night of June 15 last year, Colonel Santosh Babu was martyred during a skirmish with Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley. He was leading a contingent of Indian soldiers in the Galwan Valley.
