Military Nursing Services is a bright future for aspiring young women to make a move and join the armed forces as short service commissioner. Only Biology girls can apply for this post. Military Nursing Service is a Corps or regiment of the Indian Army. This is a Short Services Commission (SSC). The lady officer of MNS is equal to the Indian Army Officer since they get the same rank as in Indian Army i.e. lieutenant, colonel etc. The lady officers are a part of army hospitals. They are not directly into nursing as they have jawans from the army medical corps
